I've been leading an initiative to create, improve and restructure platform layers that let developers control more aspects across hundreds of applications, establishing reliable GitOps processes with ArgoCD, secure secret management and scalable Azure DevOps pipelines.

Leveraging Kubernetes, I started writing operators to remove manual intervention from application bootstraps, developer access and workload management. Go-to person for Kubernetes and application management in the company.

Improved pipeline quality and efficiency in GitLab CI, rewrote application definitions to use Helm in an OKD multi-cluster environment, handled Kubernetes and AWS resources with Terraform and implemented Datadog and its best practices for all the team's applications.

I modernized the entire infrastructure, giving the applications the ability to scale: Terraforming a new network topology, migrating from EC2-hosted applications to Kubernetes and boosting the developer teams with CI/CD pipelines and guidance on the new stack. I created observability and service mesh layers for the cluster.

This is a huge project, one I'm proud of.

As a cloud engineer, I helped the squads in my tribe deliver their applications with scalability and performance across a plurality of languages, patterns and tools, including the instant payments squad behind the Brazilian Pix.

When invited to be a cloud architect, instead of dealing with scattered patterns, I started to create company-wide platforms, bringing Kubernetes and AWS EventBridge to the table as our main computing and event-driven platforms.

As a freelancer, I migrated the applications from Heroku to AWS, using Terraform and Kubernetes, and implemented CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions.

I also guided the developers through the cloud services to achieve their goals and advised the manager on cloud matters.

Helping the developers solve bottlenecks, I scaled the applications properly, supporting a 3,000% growth in the customer base.

Using the metrics provided by AWS, I tuned instance provisioning and chose the right instance reservations, reducing costs by 30%.

Improved the application's performance by making better use of its database architectures and caching systems, developed new features and fixed bugs. Here I began my studies in DevOps.

Focused on stabilizing the application, improving its performance and making it scalable. Prepared a roadmap of microservices, cache and infrastructure changes, aiming at a Kubernetes cluster for high availability and performance.

The most important lesson I learned in my graduation: "there is no silver bullet in technology". Each problem may have several solutions, but the right ones always match the organization's needs, and this cannot be easily frameworked.
